Messiah Lutheran Scripture

Worship leads all believers into the presence of the living God. It is important to set aside holy time for participating in God's ongoing creation. We gather, led by the Holy Spirit, because we are part of the body of Christ. The witness of the community of love, truth and peace empowers us to overcome the destructive powers of the world. As Christians and disciples, we strengthen our relationship with God during our regular worship services.

The following link will take you to the PDF file "Narrative Holy Communion" from the ELCA which is an informative narrative about Lutheran Worship.

Worship Schedule

We worship at 9:30 a.m. All of our services are communion services in a blended worship style, based on any of the ten ELW settings in the red ELW hymnal. Occasionally we have special services, like healing services or Taize-style services.

Shortly after the adult service starts, we offer Sunday School gatherings for the children. (See the "Learning" page for more details).

Nursery

Our nursery (for children 5 years and younger) is open from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Older children are welcome to our worship services. The nursery is located across the parlor at the rear of the sanctuary.
