Worship

Our worship at Messiah is liturgy-based in the Lutheran tradition and always includes scripture, sacrament, and song.

We use piano and organ, bells, and other instruments to incorporate traditional and new music. We celebrate Holy Communion every Sunday, always have a Youth Message, and trust that when we gather, Jesus is among us.

Worship is something we do together as a body. (“Liturgy” means “work of the people.”) We come to be reminded of who we are as God’s beloved and pray that all will be fed and renewed for life “back out in the world” all week — with fresh eyes to see God’s presence everywhere.

Come as you are! (That’s who Jesus wants – and knows – and loves.)

Our Sunday schedule is:

  • 9:30 am Worship
  • 10:30 am Coffee Fellowship & Adult Forum

Music

Music is a big part of our worship life at Messiah. We love to lift our voices together in song, and we include all kinds of music and instrumentalists.

The Messiah Choir meets Wednesdays at 7 pm to rehearse (September through May), and typically sing an anthem at worship at least twice a month.

All instrumentalists: string players, winds, brass, guitars, drummers, etc. are welcome to bring their gifts. Our Director of Music Ministries will find the right place for you to share music in our community!
